A trip to the city..

On a rainy day in Melbourne, what better way to drown my sorrows then to go for a look around the town.  We started with a visit to the South Melbourne Markets. If I lived here it would be the only place I would go to buy my meat and veggies. My mouth was salivating looking through the glass of the meat counter and the Deli’s were more oiled up than a tourist tanning their-self on the beach in Surfers Paradise. They defiantly know how to do it down here. 1o mins more on the 96 and we arrived at Burke street and started bumping around the CBD. It’s a urban landscape full of weird and wonderful people! The rain wasn’t torrential but didn’t let up ALL DAY! I was getting my gear wet every shot but would love to get a good sunny day to really explore around this vibrant town.

Where we are staying, The Urban Hotel, in St Kilda is amazing! The young staff and very friendly atmosphere is great and its right above a bar and cafe, down the road to the 24hr bakery and 7/11 and across the road from a tram stop! Rooms are clean, bed is firm and I would highly recommend a stay here on a visit to Melbourne.

Early on tonight as I have to wake to see Parko hopefully take his first Surfing World Title! Hawaiian time start means I’ll be up at 3am. It’s a exciting ending to a big year in pro-surfing and I hope the right surfer wins the crown! Come on PARKO!!
