A SURPRISE GLASSOFF.

This onshore wind was causing havoc this morning with the waves here in Currumbin. I thought that the day was ruined so I did some other things that needed to be done and after lunch, I noticed that the wind swung offshore and the surf was pumping. IT only lasted for around an hour but the good news is the banks are still there and with this swell that is coming and more favorable winds, maybe we will get some great waves again before I head off. Fingers crossed…

Comp wrap-up…. All the usual suspects still in with a notable extra. Michel Borez who was ripping beat Taj in a terrible heat and one TB, I am sure, wishes never happened. The waves went below average and the wind and squalls and current were dreadful. The winning score was under 10 points for two waves ridden by two world-class surfers.. Bad Luck Taj. For mine you were the surfer to beat! Parko was RIPPPING and Mick his usual awesome self. I am hoping for these guys in the final but Mick will have to beat a raging Slater int he second semi. My tip is if the waves are good, its Micks but anything junky and it will go to the other. Looking forward to seeing the finals tomorrow…!

More an more going everyday. I saw the council is filling in sand on the northern end... STUPID move councillors.. The news was showing the tide washing it away as it was being poured.. WHO gives the go-ahead for these stupid decisions???
