Another incredible day up here on North Straddie! A hot sunrise lead to launching the boat off Cylinders beach and trolling around the rocks close to the shore off Point Lookout and straight into 3 beautiful Spanish Mackeral. We could have gotten more but three was enough and we headed back over the sparkling blue sea to the beach and into another session on Main Beach. It was waist to head high A-frames and runners but with the new sth swell filling in it was a little messy with strong flash rips chunking through the shorebreak. All in all, a 6 kilo Spanish, a very decent surf in pristine conditions and bbq’d fresh Spanish Mackeral with a XXXX gold in my hand watching a massive storm igniting over the sea! Supurb…
